Cynthia Woods Amphitheater

The Woodlands, Texas

This popular concert amphitheater has been recently rebuilt to double its original size.  Design and engineering of the structural system was by Horst Berger / De Nardis Engineering and Walter P. Moore. The engineering, patterning, fabrication and construction of the membrane system was performed by FabriTec Structures of Dallas, TX (formerly USA-Shade).   The work had to be completed on an extremely compressed schedule.  It was able to be accomplished using NDN for the modeling, form finding, patterning, and detailing.
